  South-Eastern Asia: water supply data

Between 1990 and 2004, some 118 million more people have gained access to drinking water supply in South-Eastern Asia.

Despite the fact that 81 million urban dwellers have gained access to water supply between 1990 and 2004, the coverage has dropped 4% due to the important increase of population (+ 96 million). On the other hand, in rural areas, the percentage of population served has improved by some 9%, helped by the small increase in population (+ 13 million).
